ST’s wideband coupler boosts performance and eases design of LTE
smartphones
ST’s CPL-WBF-00D3 coupler senses the output power of the power amplifier and the return losses of the antenna to maximize the LTE RF-chain power consumption.
With insertion losses as low as 0.15 dB and a flat coupling factor of 30 dB from 698 MHz to 2700 MHz, it is particularly suited for LTE applications where the same RF detector is used over the wide frequency range.
With a size of 1.9 mm x 1.1 mm, it occupies 70% less board space compared to conventional LTCC solutions using two or more couplers to cover the frequency range. More
