Monitor household energy consumption remotely
Based on ST’s ST7540 power-line modem (PLM), the STPM01 energy metering IC and an STM32 ARM® Cortex™ MCU, the STEVAL-IHP002V2 smartplug demonstration board shows how to monitor household energy consumption remotely by providing a home/building automation subsystem for effective energy management. The system acts as a node of a PLM network, the information related to the electrical load connected to the smartplug board are sent to a PLM data concentrator through the home/building PLM network.
